France: CHARM OF VILLAGES “SUR MER” (6)
France: CHARM OF VILLAGES “SUR MER” (6)

Although not that popular as their neighbors Nice, Cannes or Monaco, smaller towns along the Côte d’Azur are actually the true reflection of French charm. Beaches are more pleasant, clean, less crowded, streets seem prettier, you can even meet a local at the cafe (not just tourists) and have a glass of wine in the

France: FRENCH RIVIERA HOPPING (5)
France: FRENCH RIVIERA HOPPING (5)

Before going to the Côte d’Azur, I have heard a lot about it, reading about “the famous names on the French Riviera beaches”, exclusive resorts, Hollywood stars who once got wet in shallow waters of Cannes, Nice, Saint-Tropez, about princess Grace, Picasso’s retreat.

France: KNOCKING ON MONET’S DOOR (4)
France: KNOCKING ON MONET’S DOOR (4)

Normandy, French province in the North, full of greenery, flowers, good cheese and wine, white cows with black spots, but it also houses few towns not to be missed when in the region.

France: GOING AFTER BAUDELAIRE! (3)
France: GOING AFTER BAUDELAIRE! (3)

Paris! You know what it was for me back then? I was actually hoping I would find some “link” to all those French artists who lived there during the 19th century!

France: A VINTAGE JOURNEY (1)
France: A VINTAGE JOURNEY (1)

Every time I remember my first travel to France, I always smile and feel a bit proud. Sure, I did see all the landmarks and fell in love with the country, but I also had such an alluring agenda (made one myself!), that I would probably do all over again if I were to visit

Rhodes Greece: DRIVING UP THE WEST COAST (8)
Rhodes Greece: DRIVING UP THE WEST COAST (8)

After having a blast with Odeon World Travel on the Greek island of Rhodes for a while, I thought that time was ripe for a road trip! Went all the way east from one side of Rhodes to the other, and now I was going back, along the west coast, from Prassonissi to Rhodes town.

Rhodes Greece: ROAD TRIP TO THE EAST (7)
Rhodes Greece: ROAD TRIP TO THE EAST (7)

There is a lot to see on Rhodes and I was planning for days to take a car and just drive around the whole of this Greek island. There were couple of lovely trips and walking tours – through Rhodes city or to Lindos, and I have covered it with our Odeon World Travel guides

Hope you’ve had your rest on Rhodes’ beaches through the last Glimpse, since today – we are off to one extremely important town of this Greek island. And we’ll be rushing around its narrow alleys among white houses, climbing up to the Acropolis, we will plunge into the turquoise sea at the very cove where

Rhodes Greece: LET’S HIT THE BEACH! (5)
Rhodes Greece: LET’S HIT THE BEACH! (5)

Okay, so we have visited few historic locations so far, learned a couple of myths, but even though there is a lot still to come, it’s time to take a break. I am sure you will agree after checking out these Rhodes’ beaches! And yes, even I need a rest from time to time, believe

Rhodes Greece: THERE STOOD THE COLOSSUS! (3)

“Look, there, you see those two pillars with a deer and a roe deer on the top, on opposite sides of the harbor entrance? There, that is the spot where the famous Colossus of Rhodes stood, with his feet on opposite sides and boats sailing in through his legs”, our Odeon World Travel tour guide

Rhodes Greece: JUST THE RIGHT VACATION TIME (2)
Rhodes Greece: JUST THE RIGHT VACATION TIME (2)

Had a day or two to relax upon coming to Rhodes and decided to spend it on the beach and stroll around town’s narrow streets. On the eastern part of the island, they say, the Mediterranean Sea is usually peaceful with a wave or two. But the western coast (the Aegean side) is just too

Rhodes Greece: THE EVER IMPOSING SUN GOD (1)
Rhodes Greece: THE EVER IMPOSING SUN GOD (1)

The moment you step onto the soil of Rhodes, it’s immediately clear why they call it the Island of the Sun. The clear sky, the unreal sea color that ranges from turquoise to dark blue, high waves that seem to send out the message that you have come to the place so alive, where nature

Singapore: CABLE CAR TO SENTOSA ISLAND (9)
