Although not that popular as their neighbors Nice, Cannes or Monaco, smaller towns along the Côte d’Azur are actually the true reflection of French charm. Beaches are more pleasant, clean, less crowded, streets seem prettier, you can even meet a local at the cafe (not just tourists) and have a glass of wine in the
Before going to the Côte d’Azur, I have heard a lot about it, reading about “the famous names on the French Riviera beaches”, exclusive resorts, Hollywood stars who once got wet in shallow waters of Cannes, Nice, Saint-Tropez, about princess Grace, Picasso’s retreat.
Normandy, French province in the North, full of greenery, flowers, good cheese and wine, white cows with black spots, but it also houses few towns not to be missed when in the region.
Paris! You know what it was for me back then? I was actually hoping I would find some “link” to all those French artists who lived there during the 19th century!

Had a day or two to relax upon coming to Rhodes and decided to spend it on the beach and stroll around town’s narrow streets. On the eastern part of the island, they say, the Mediterranean Sea is usually peaceful with a wave or two. But the western coast (the Aegean side) is just too
The moment you step onto the soil of Rhodes, it’s immediately clear why they call it the Island of the Sun. The clear sky, the unreal sea color that ranges from turquoise to dark blue, high waves that seem to send out the message that you have come to the place so alive, where nature
