You know how you plan to see few specific locations when traveling to a new place and you just can’t wait to visit? The island of Symi was on my list when I came to Rhodes, right next to all those places on the actual island like Lindos, Prassonissi, Kamiros. After having a blast with Odeon World Travel on the Greek island of Rhodes for a while, I thought that time was ripe for a road trip! Went all the way east from one side of Rhodes to the other, and now I was going back, along the west coast, from Prassonissi to Rhodes town. Didn’t really know what to expect since everybody was always praising the other, eastern coast, because of the calmer waters and sandy beaches. But what a journey it was! (more…)
There is a lot to see on Rhodes and I was planning for days to take a car and just drive around the whole of this Greek island. There were couple of lovely trips and walking tours – through Rhodes city or to Lindos, and I have covered it with our Odeon World Travel guides here. Hope you’ve had your rest on Rhodes’ beaches through the last Glimpse, since today – we are off to one extremely important town of this Greek island. And we’ll be rushing around its narrow alleys among white houses, climbing up to the Acropolis, we will plunge into the turquoise sea at the very cove where Apostle Paul disembarked once, and we will go into the 14th century church!
