The area of Pasabag or Pasabaglari, popularly known as the Love Valley, hosts the most beautiful chimneys which can reach up to 15 to 20 meters in heights. They often come multi-coned and you can see two or three of them coalesced into one formation. The valley is 4 kilometers long. (more…)

The town of Avanos had another craft it was famous for and it’s well worth a visit. We were told it was possible to tour round one of the carpet weaving stores, the so called carpet factory. Every time you travel to the Orient you will be offered to buy a carpet, „hand-weaved in large spectrum of colors“, and it is always „just perfect for you“. But it is not that often that you can enter one of those craft stores and see how they actually do make carpets. (more…)

Cappadocia is truly hard to describe. Luckily, there are cameras, because every attempt to describe those small houses – which they actually are not, and which are build by hewing much needed premises into mountain – would be a certain venture. (more…)
